How to make Halloween chocolate apples
With a sharp knife carefully slice the apple into ½" slices and remove the stem and any seeds from the core.
Place the sliced apples onto some kitchen paper towels and dry off any moisture or juices.
Place the chocolate in a bowl and melt either in the microwave in short bursts stirring in between to ensure the chocolate doesn't burn.
Making a small hole at the bottom of the sliced apple gently insert the stick.
Carefully dip the apple slice into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Gently tap the stick on the side of the bowl to allow any excess chocolate to drip off. Place the chocolate covered apple slice onto a lined baking sheet and decorate as desired before the chocolate sets. (Alternatively, you can decorate with melted white chocolate after the dark chocolate has set as I did for the mummy design).
Repeat until all slices have been coated and decorated. Then place the refrigerator to set.
