Measures to support accessibility
Gluten free Tranquility takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Gluten free Tranquility website:
- Maintaining a consistent and predictable layout throughout the recipe posts published on the website.
- Descriptive alt text is added to every image on my website other than images used for decorative purposes.
- Including a skip navigation link on all recipe posts on the website in the form of "Jump to" buttons.
- Ensuring all text-to-background color contrast meets a 4.5:1 ratio.
Despite our best efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible to everyone, including persons with disabilities. Some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards but to ensure that I adhere to best practices in web accessibility continue to update older content to be more accessible to everyone, including those of us with disabilities.
I am aware of some areas on the website where I must improve accessibility. I am currently working to achieve this and update content. Gluten free tranquility continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of the site. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Gluten free Tranquility is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Additional accessibility considerations
Although our goal is that this website will achieve WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Images of text are only used for decorative purposes.
